Terms of sale

These terms govern the purchase of the paid plans of RAC-EU · European Economic Radar (rac-eu.economiaeficiente.org). When purchasing, the customer accepts them by ticking the box shown before payment; each purchase records the accepted version and the date, and the customer can consult them at any time on this page. The contract may be concluded in Spanish; the versions in other languages are courtesy translations.

1. Who provides the service

Sales and invoicing are carried out by MFP 2021-2027, S.L., NIF B09836040, with registered address at calle Antoñita Jiménez, 33, 28019 Madrid, registered with the Madrid Commercial Registry (Registro Mercantil de Madrid), volume 43340, folio 1, sheet M-765632, 1st entry, on behalf of the ASOCIACIÓN INSTITUTO PARA LA ECONOMÍA EFICIENTE (Instituto para la Economía Eficiente, IPEF; NIF G24808818), owner of the content. 2. What is purchased

Access to the RAC-EU content corresponding to the chosen plan (Basic, Premium or Corporate), as described on the plans page. The content is informative: figures from official sources and technical readings by the Institute, which do not constitute financial, tax or investment advice. The price remunerates the Institute's analysis, the integration and updating of the series, the tools and the service, not the official data, which can be obtained free of charge at ec.europa.eu/eurostat and cohesiondata.ec.europa.eu. The Corporate plan is also governed by the proposal or contract signed with the customer.

3. Who may purchase and how

You must be over 18 years of age. To purchase: create an account, choose the plan and the billing period, enter the billing details, accept these terms and pay. Before payment, the plan, the price and the details entered are shown, and they can be corrected by going back. The account is personal: it can only have one session open at a time, and logging in from another browser or device closes the previous session. The account may be suspended if it is used for automated mass downloads or to share access with third parties.

4. Price and payment

The price is the one shown before payment and is the final price. On the invoice, depending on the customer, it appears with VAT included or without VAT (reverse charge or customer outside the European Union). Payment is made on the Revolut gateway by card, Revolut Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay; RAC-EU neither sees nor stores card details.

5. Invoice

Each charge has its own invoice, available in “My account” and sent by email. Billing details are provided when purchasing and can be changed in “My account” for subsequent invoices.

6. Duration, renewal and renewal price

Plans are monthly or annual and renew automatically at the end of each period using the same payment method. Each renewal is charged at the price in force on the renewal date, which is the price published at that time on the plans page; the customer accepts that the renewal price may change without prior individual notice, and may consult it at any time on that page and cancel the renewal before it takes place. For annual plans, notice is sent by email seven days before renewal. If payment was made with Apple Pay or Google Pay, renewal is not automatic: a renewal link is sent one week before expiry and access is maintained for three days after expiry to allow time to renew.

7. Cancellation and account closure

The plan can be cancelled at any time from “My account”. The service remains available until the end of the period purchased and paid for and is not renewed thereafter. The unused part of the period is not refunded. If the customer deletes their account, the plan ends at that moment, likewise without refund.

8. Plan changes

When upgrading to a higher plan, or from monthly to annual, the change is immediate and the amount paid for the current plan is deducted from the price of the new plan: the full amount if the change is made within the first seven days of the current period and, thereafter, the unused part, in proportion to the days remaining. If the deduction covers the entire price of the new plan, nothing is charged and the new plan lasts until the credit is used up. When downgrading to a lower plan, or from annual to monthly, the change takes effect at the next renewal, at no charge; if the plan had been cancelled, scheduling the change reactivates it.

9. Failed payments

If a renewal cannot be charged, the charge is retried three and seven days after expiry and notice is sent by email at each attempt; access is maintained in the meantime. If it still cannot be charged, the plan ends and the account reverts to the free tier.

10. Immediate start and right of withdrawal

Access to the content is immediate. Before paying, the customer expressly requests that the service begin at that moment and acknowledges that, once it has begun, they lose the right of withdrawal they would have as a consumer (article 103 of the texto refundido de la Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios, the Spanish consolidated General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users). After payment, a confirmation of the purchase is sent by email, with the version of these terms the customer has accepted and their request for immediate start. Consequently, the amount paid is not refunded: the service remains available until the end of the period purchased. The right of withdrawal does not apply to customers purchasing as a business or professional.

11. Use of the content

Access is for the customer's own use (in the Corporate plan, for the users contracted). Excerpts from the readings may be quoted stating the source (“RAC-EU · European Economic Radar, IPEF”) and linking to the page. Reselling or systematically redistributing the analyses, the compilation, the design or the tools of RAC-EU is not permitted. This restriction does not extend to official Eurostat data or to the scores of the European Commission indices: the customer may reuse them under the conditions of each body, set out in the legal notice, including when obtained through RAC-EU downloads.

12. Operation of the service and liability

RAC-EU is provided with reasonable diligence: data are updated when the sources publish them, and there may be brief interruptions for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. The figures are those of the official sources on the extraction date indicated. Nothing in the foregoing limits the rights that the law grants to customers who are consumers.

13. Changes to these terms

Changes to these terms are published on this page with a new version date and apply from the next renewal. Price changes are governed by clause 6.

14. Personal data

They are processed as set out in the privacy policy.

15. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms and all purchases made under them are governed by Spanish law.

For any dispute concerning the interpretation, performance or enforcement of these terms or of the service, the customer and MFP 2021-2027, S.L., expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that might correspond to them, submit to the courts and tribunals of the city of Madrid.

Before going to court, the customer may write to rac@economiaeficiente.org in an attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
