Purpose
RAC-EU · European Economic Radar publishes economic indicators for European countries and regions sourced from Eurostat (the Statistical Office of the European Union) and from the regional indices of the European Commission, together with the calculations and readings the Institute prepares on the basis of them. Its purpose is informative and educational.
Sources and reuse conditions
The figures in RAC-EU come from official sources of the European Union, which are cited for each indicator, and are reused under the conditions published by each of them:
- Eurostat: © European Union. Reuse is authorised provided that the source is acknowledged, in accordance with the Eurostat copyright notice and Commission Decision 2011/833/EU. The dataset and the extraction date are cited for each indicator. Only data for EU Member States, EFTA countries and candidate countries are published.
- Regional Competitiveness Index (RCI 2.0) and EU Regional Social Progress Index (EU-SPI 2.0): European Commission (Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and Joint Research Centre), © European Union, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). The scores are reproduced as published by the Commission; the rankings within each country, the comparisons and the charts are the Institute's own work.
The data have been processed: rates of change, rankings, averages and comparisons are calculations by the Institute and are identified as such. Neither Eurostat nor the European Commission is responsible for this processing or for any use made of it. The figures are reproduced without altering their meaning, stating the period and the extraction date. Sources revise their data: RAC-EU incorporates the revisions.
No public body takes part in, sponsors or endorses RAC-EU or its readings. The readings are generated automatically from the data using templates written by the Institute; they do not constitute financial, tax or investment advice.
Intellectual property
The analysis texts, the selection and organisation of the indicators, the design and the software of RAC-EU belong to the Instituto para la Economía Eficiente. The official data are not the property of the Institute: they belong to the respective bodies and anyone may reuse them under the conditions of each body. Reproduction of excerpts from the readings is permitted provided that “RAC-EU · European Economic Radar, IPEF” is cited and a link to the corresponding page is included.
